Our world

We all moan about our lives. We all would like even better lives to us and our children. It is our nature, perfectly acceptable.

But yesterday, watching a documentary about Zimbabwe's forgotten children I realise how good our lives really are.

Knowing that just 50 cents is the annual cost for a child to study there ( as reported on the documentary); and knowing the sky high number of children can not afford it; makes me disbelieve our worldwide kindness.

Robert Gabriel Karigamombe Mugabe has destroyed what used to be one of the best countries in Africa. Has destroyed it economically, politically and culturally.

People of all ages are suffering, but children will pay the highest price.

Please do something!!!

You can contact many international institutions and help in many different ways.

50 cent per week for us is absolutely nothing, but would give 52 more children attending school per each one of us.

I am Portuguese, very proud of our 1974 revolution.

I can not stop thinking what could we do, so the same would be possible in Zimbabwe. Offer a better education to those children seems to be the best way to go forward.

SO PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Amizades de hoje!

Hoje! Todos somos amigos.

Somos amigos no Facebook, MySpace, Twitter e outros.

Hoje!

First one

Do you get mad when you listen people saying:

"Life is a B****!"
"Life is to be lived"
"Life is what you want it to be"

and so on ...

Made expressions like this makes me curl.

Why???

Lets use those examples and analise it.

1- "Life is a B****!" - If it is so bad, why not giving up on it? - Why spend energy complaining instead of fighting it?

2- "Life is to be lived" - For sure; if not, we would be dead. Never the less, never says HOW is supposed to be lived. - All lifes are differents and presented to ourselves in diferrent ways, therefore it is impossible to generalise.

3- "Life is what you want it to be" - Really??? - Is that so simple? - So why can't we resolve poverty issues? - Why do we still in war in so many parts of the world?

Basically, I refuse to accept general sayings.

What do you think?
